@shamsky4evr Yeah, her daughter goes to Yale. The show is realistic if you look past the material aspects of it and to the relationships of the people. The relationships are very real.
well there is one slight tiny weensy difference. Roseanne was awarded with multiple awards including one for pioneering new ground for women. She helped launch countless actors, including, yes even george clooney. Her show was actually funny. and it started in the late 80′s (which makes it instantly cool) gilmore girls??? uh ummm oh um uh duh ummm buh sure
Lil Ed and Dan are half-brothers. (lol) When Dan and Roseanne have baby Jerry, Lil Ed would be Jerry’s uncle!
It sure gets complicated with second marriages

Also, I think her daughter attends Yale?
How many single mothers live like that? Do your research.
It’s on a more frivolous level but still has the same core values that Roseanne does.
With about 5x the vanity Roseanne does, admittedly. Gilmore Girls are always concentrated on their looks and I think the Roseanne characters look better, because they don’t try to hard.
this reminds me of a story my mom tells all the time about the time my grandma was playing bingo and my uncle came in to get money from her (when he was a teenager) and he grabbed her arm, held it up and yelled out bingo because she had a line. But she screamed at him “it’s a cover-all, jackass.”
Gilmore Girls is a fantastic show, as is Roseanne. Both down to earth but in different ways
Also, I LOVE that Roseanne has all these celebrities before they’ve made it big.
I cannot stand Gilmore Girls. Are you actually comparing Roseanne, a brilliant classic, to the preppy, spoiled, Ivy League crap on that other show? PUHLEEEASE.
